Recession Follies: No Cars, No Milk

How tight-fisted are Californians panicked by the recession? The Chron has two examples. First, they ain’t buying cars; the paper reports that almost ten percent of auto dealerships closed last year, with six of them in the Bay Area. Second, they ain’t buying milk; the cost of milk has been cut in half, and the government has stepped in and bought $92 million worth of surplus moo juice.
