.Best Coffee: The most vengeful caffeine fix

Peet's Coffee and Tea

Pete and Repeat walked into the Peet’s on Berkeley’s Fourth Street and shared a swirl ($3.75). But Pete promptly sucked out the last of this icy espresso-caramel-dark-chocolate treat, and who was left with nothing? Repeat! Pete and Repeat were walking along Solano Avenue and stopped by Peet’s to buy some beans. Pete snagged the last pound of bittersweet Arabian Mocha Java ($12.95), so who was left with nothing? Repeat! Pete and Repeat were wandering through Walnut Creek and entered a Peet’s they found there. Repeat grabbed a Cuisinart Brew Central Maker ($79.95) off the shelf and threw it at Pete’s head. Repeat then stole Pete’s frequent buyers’ card and cashed it in for two ounces of rare, fruity Simple Leaf Oolong ($19.75). That entitled Repeat to a free cup of coffee. He savored the aroma of the dark nutty house brew and took a sip. Repeat then turned for the door and pondered the quivering Pete, who lay on the floor, sobbing at this most terrible loss.
