So, I asked my co-workers where they’d go to catch tonight’s game, which starts at 6 p.m.:
- Bobby G’s in Berkeley: “Tons of fans, little seating, and mighty rowdy.”
- New Parkway Theater: $15 for a ticket.
- Itani Ramen: “They played the game at the back of the restaurant. Convenient if you want to eat dinner and watch the game. After we finished our food, we walked across the street to Make Westing, a bar that has a big screen to show the games.”
- “Definitely Mad Oak. I had the greatest time watching the championship there last year. Also Halftime is really popular.”
- “The Beer Shed was my favorite by far. Indoor and outdoor area with lots of seating. Not too crowded. TV high enough so that everyone can see and their staff is super friendly!”

- Room 389 – “good drinks, lots of TVs behind the bar and in seating area in back”
- Cato’s Alehouse – “best beer selection, TVs all around the bar.”
- “Blind Tiger has awesome huge screens.”
- “The Lodge in Piedmont is also a ski lodge bar with cool décor.”
- Kingfish Pub in Temescal: “AMAZING patio, Tv screens everywhere”
- Also, Luka’s is great, but it can get loud.
- “Golden Bull is always my go-to. Watched it there last night. You can get $2 hot dogs from Crate/Venue outside and GB’s happy hour is amazing!”
- “Somewhere less rowdy with good food and cocktails aka more my speed – the bar at Yoshi’s.”
- Awaken Cafe is showing the games, too.
Oh, and drop me an email if you have suggestions on places to add to this list: Ni*********@************ss.com.
And remember to check up on these spots first, to ensure they’re actually showing the game (OK, really, so who isn’t … but just in case).
