The Oakland Tribune just reported that the sentencing of Johannes Mehserle that was scheduled for August 6 has been pushed to a later date TBD.
Our Best of the East Bay Party was scheduled for that day, so we had decided to postpone the event. But now that the sentencing has been pushed back, we have decided that our Best of the East Bay Party will move forward as planned after all on August 6 in Jack London Square, Oakland’s beautiful historic waterfront.
