You’ve heard of the morning-after pill, but you may not have heard about the morning-after poll done last week. The phone survey was done by pollster David Binder. It’s unclear who paid for the post-election poll, but Binder conducted a poll during the campaign for an independent expenditure committee supporting Oakland City Council candidate Aimee Allison. Judging from the questions, insiders speculate that Allison may want to run for the at-large council seat in two years and change her party registration from Green to Democratic. Allison didn’t return a phone call, and neither did Steve Phillips, head of Oaklanders for New Leadership, the indie committee that backed Allison.
