The Daily Planet reports that Nolo Press, which has published easily understood and widely accessible legal information for decades, has lost its West Berkeley lease and may well leave Berkeley altogether. We’ll always be fond of Nolo and remember with a certain perverse glee the time when Texas tried to ban Nolo’s books, arguing that distributing them constituted practicing law without admission to the state bar. But apparently, the building’s owner has decided to sell the property, which Nolo has outgrown in any case.
