One of the most anticipated shows in the Bay Area takes place at the Oracle Arena every December: Live 105’s Not So Silent Night. And this year’s lineup does not disappoint.
This year’s NSSN will take place on Dec. 8 and 9, and both nights feature a stellar mix of bands.
Night one will be headlined by Denver’s The Lumineers, whose 2012 track “Hey Ho” skyrocketed their career; the song was in heavy rotation at radio stations across the country. In 2015, the band made it onto President Obama’s Spotify Summer Playlist, along with Stevie Wonder, Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, and other heavy-hitters.
Also on the NSSN bill: Portugual. The Man, Vance Joy, Manchester Orchestra, and Welshly Arms.
But the lineup for night two is what has people talking.
The Killers are making their triumphant return to Oakland. It’s been three years since the entire band played in the Bay Area, when they headlined Outside Lands. At the time the band didn’t have any new material. In 2015, lead singer Brandon Flowers played a sold-out show at the Fox Theater in Oakland, where he belted out some Killers’ classics, but there’s nothing like having the band back together and touring.
The Las Vegas natives have a new album to promote, Wonderful Wonderful which was released on Sept. 22, their first album since 2012’s Battle Born. Expect this night to sell out.
Also on the night two bill: Weezer, Foster the People, Walk The Moon, and Alice Merton.
