Writers Dave Eggers, Michael Chabon Tell Oaklanders To Raise Their Taxes

Gotta love it when out-of-towners tell local to raise their taxes. In today’s Chron, literary luminaries Dave Eggers and Michael Chabon urge Oakland voters to support Measure N, the $148 million library measure. Last we checked, Eggers lived in the 415 and Chabon resided in Berkeley. For whatever reason, the Chron chose not to disclose that the authors don’t live in Oakland. But, hey, newspaper editors who don’t live in the communities they cover do urge political actions all the time.
