Days after we wrote about a proposed plan to build a new Oakland Raiders football stadium and retail/entertainment complex, Raiders spokeswoman Amy Trask has endorsed exactly that concept for the land just north of the current McAfee Coliseum. “What we have suggested is not just a stadium, but something to bring business enterprise and activity to a part of the community that needs it,” Raiders bigwig Amy Trask told the Chron‘s Matier and Ross. We’re a little annoyed that the Raiders wouldn’t give us the time of day but found time to talk to the Chron. But hey, at least we got there first. Here’s one other story the Chronicle broke: the Raiders have agreed to extend the Coliseum lease to 2013, buying time to come up with a new plan.
