State Senate boss Don Perata is going to need a new job by the end of the year now that his term limits extension measure has gone down in flames. Prop. 93 would have given him another four-year term as senate president pro tem, but voters rejected it 53.5 percent to 46.5 percent. So now what will The Don do? State Assembly? Board of Equalization (he opened a campaign account for that race, but has spent most of it on his legal defense and on living lavishly)?
