.Let’s Go, Fre-mont!

The Oakland A’s are moving to Fremont, according to a KCBS report this morning. Citing an unnamed source, KCBS reporter Steve Bitker says that Major League Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig will be on hand on November 14 for an announcement from A’s owner Lew Wolff about a new 40,000-seat ballpark in Fremont. Wolff reportedly plans to build the stadium on property owned by Cisco Systems, surrounded by a housing development that he plans to construct on land he recently purchased. Officials from Cisco and the city of Fremont are also expected to be on hand for the announcement.
