The California Highway Patrol started issuing speeding tickets en masse yesterday in the wake of the fatal truck accident at the dangerous S-curve, according to the Chron and the CoCo Times. The CHP issued 34 speeding tickets and closed off two lanes of the Bay Bridge during late-night and early morning hours in an effort to slow down traffic. CalTrans also installed a series of new warning signs that remind motorists to slow down before reaching the hazardous curve.
