Chevron Bails on New Orleans

Continuing the post-Katrina exodus of oil companies out of New Orleans, Chevron has pulled its regional headquarters from the fabled city, relocating to the suburbs north of Lake Ponchatrain. Since most oil companies moved out of Louisiana altogether and resettled in Houston, this development could have been worse. But it’s another blow for the city whose continued suffering has been forgotten by the rest of America.
