LeQuiVive opened last year after Famous Four Colors gave up its gallery space to focus on its clothing line. Picking up where that gallery left off, LeQuiVive has curated group and solo shows for some of the Bay’s most promising local artists, including Cannon Dill, Billy Sprague, and Max Kauffman. LeQuiVive co-owners Michael Broberg and Sorell Raino-Tsui keep one foot in the gallery and another on the street, giving spray-paint muralists like Dill an opportunity to exhibit their artwork. The prices are accessible for budding collectors; small drawings at Dill’s solo show were priced as low as $30, and T-shirts and prints were available for even less. Artists who show at LeQuiVive also regularly contribute to large-scale public art pieces, for which Broberg often buys supplies and brokers wall space. Check out the gallery on First Fridays, when the lower-priced art tends to sell out fast.
