Whole Foods’ John Mackey Tries A Do-Over

The editorial writers at the Wall Street Journal ran a long interview/story with Whole Foods President John Mackey this weekend. Mackey, you may remember, wrote an opinion piece attacking “Obamacare” in which he said things like, “A careful reading of both the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution will not reveal any intrinsic right to health care, food or shelter.” Local innovative protests have been held in the East Bay in response, and the interview is an attempt to “greenwash” his image.
