In case you missed it, on Monday, May 10, Comedy Central’s The Colbert Report featured former New Mexico Governor Gary Johnson, who argues to decriminalize marijuana and tell kids the truth about smoking pot. The best Colbert can muster is the gateway drug theory. Johnson cites Portugal and The Netherlands as countries who have decriminalized and saw drops in drug use.
