Looking at the official photo of the City Council on the Oakland Web page, you might be surprised how, after a little more than a month in office, Ron Dellums has come to resemble former mayor Jerry Brown. We know it’s Dellums, because the caption says so. And where’s Councilwoman Pat Kernighan? Oh, not shown. But what about City Auditor Courtney Ruby? And wait, isn’t that Danny Wan, who gave up his seat back in 2005 ? And what’s former City Auditor Roland Smith doing there? Last we heard, his oft-bizarre antics gave Ruby an easy win last November. Note to “model city”: Time to update your Web site!
