As promised in today’s Full Disclosure, here are the letters that accuse Ben Chavis, principal of American Indian Public Charter School in Oakland, of racist and threatening comments. Signed by a Mills College education professor and four of her graduate students, the letters allege that Chavis called an African-American grad student a “fucking black minority punk” and threatened to kick his ass. They also allege that Chavis asked one of his own tenth-graders if a boy “was still trying to suck your titties.” Chavis denied some of the allegations, but not all.
