The Oakland City Council is expected to approve tonight a new — and free — shuttle service that will connect uptown and downtown with the Jack London Square area. The weekday shuttle will begin operations in May or June and is being financed predominantly by the Bay Area Air Quality Management District, and will be operated by AC Transit, the CoCo Times reports.
