.Oakland Solar Company BrightSource Rakes in More Bucks

Looks like that PG&E contract paid off. BrightSource, the Oakland solar energy startup that recently got a gig to build enough solar plants in the Mojave Desert to power 375,000 homes, has just raised at least $115 million in venture capital. The principal investors this round include Google, Morgan Stanley, and Chevron, according to the East Bay Business Times.
