Some thief stole the tires off Attorney General Jerry Brown’s Toyota Camry hybrid as it sat outside his Oakland hills home, according to the Chron. The former mayor of Oakland disclosed the April 24 theft on his Facebook page. Police have made no arrests. And let’s hope they don’t spend a lot of time on this just because Brown is the state’s top cop and the frontrunner to be the next governor. Oakland has a lot more serious crime problems to deal with, a fact which Brown is all too aware. However, it is interesting that the crime wave that began on Brown’s watch has now touched at least two prominent Oaklanders – the former mayor and ex-state Senator Don Perata, who’s tricked-out Dodge Charger was carjacked last year.
