Green Day Playing the Fox Oakland Tomorrow Night

In its third surprise show in the past week, Green Day will play the Fox Theater in Oakland’s Uptown tomorrow night, April 14. Tickets go on sale tonight at 5 p.m. The East Bay boys played a show at the Independent on April 7 and at the DNA Lounge April 9 in San Francisco. Both nights the band unveiled songs from its forthcoming new album, 21st Century Breakdown, which hits streets May 15. It’s a big year for the band, which, in addition to releasing the follow-up to 2004’s hugely successful American Idiot, will also stage a theater production of that effort at Berkeley Rep in September.
