Figueroa Blasts Lockyer for Fund-Raiser With Alleged Child Abuser

Nadia Lockyer has consistently dedicated her campaign for the Alameda County Board of Supervisors to protecting children, but her opponent says she is cavorting with an alleged domestic abuser in the name of fundraising dollars. Former state Senator Liz Figueroa lashed out Thursday at Lockyer’s scheduled fundraiser held by the controverisal former Oakland City Council candidate Mario Juarez. As reported by the Express 2008, Juarez was accused by his wife of hitting their young son thirty times. Juarez eventually lost his council bid to incumbent Ignacio De La Fuente.
