Since opening in December, Timeless has been drawing in droves with its in-house roasted, single-origin espresso and pour-overs; moist pumpkin roulades; chocolate cake “Twinkies”; and salted caramel truffles. But few may realize that it’s also the only all-vegan artisan coffee shop in town. The decision to be stealthily vegan is not uncommon; when Cinnaholic started offering its sumptuous cinnamon buns near the UC Berkeley campus three years ago, the only indication that the shop was 100-percent vegan was the flyers advocating for animal welfare on the windowsill. Now, thanks to Timeless, vegans can also indulge in decadent cakes, pastries, and truffles (some of which are also gluten-free), as well as high-end espresso drinks. Vegans of the Bay Area, rejoice!
