Michael Wild and Larry Goldman’s restaurant has been an Oakland institution since 1975, and it just keeps getting better. Their Monday-night menu includes tasty nibbles and bites at a bargain. Try the calamari ceviche seasoned with red onion, cilantro, and crispy shallots; the duck liver flan; or a salad with Little Gem lettuce tossed with tomatoes, haricots verts, boquerones, and Reggiano cheese — each for only $10. For only $4, enjoy an omnivore’s fantasy: seasoned arugula wrapped in a ribbon of prosciutto, smoked to perfection.
