Berkeley Voters Would Rather Not Be Moist, Thank You

According to the Berkeley Daily Planet, the Berkeley City Council was all set to put a bond measure funding a new warm-water pool on the November ballot. Then they took a look at some surveys that indicated voters would rather save their money and prepare for the coming banana. So they yanked the measure, condemning citizens to a lifetime of dry, underchlorinated skin. Instead, the City Council voted to put a measure on that would…ready?…create a task force to negotiate the fate of the present warm-water pool with the school board. Maybe they could talk over a nice warm soak or something.
