This Saturday night at Starline Social Club, a handful of Los Angeles-based DJs will breeze through town, welcomed by Oakland’s own Fela Kutchii. Among the L.A. coalition is DJDS (pictured), the collaborative project of Samo Sound Boy and Jerome Potter. The duo is known for their full-length work released on their Body High label and their house remixes of songs from Rihanna and Prince. Most recently, they collaborated with Kanye West on The Life of Pablo, with credits on songs including “Father Stretch My Hands” and “Fade.” Also coming from Los Angeles is the self-described family band consisting of Niko the Ikon, Tierney, and Michael Flocka. The trio is known for hosting legendary parties in LA where they play aggressively sexy, smooth music that is proven to open up your hips and release your inhibitions. With Fela Kutchii also in the mix, that promise will surely be kept. The event is the second in a series of events at the Starline Social Club organized by Wine and Bowties, the online culture publication and offline festival producers behind FEELS, so be sure to stay tuned to who they’ll bring next.
