The UC Berkeley campus is fraught with tension following last week’s fistfight during an Israel Liberation Week concert. Apparently angered by rap lyrics during the concert, three Palestinian students hung the Palestine flag from a balcony at Eshleman Hall. Three Jewish students, including an ASUC senator, got pissed and raced up to the balcony. Fists went a-flyin’, the cops swooped in, and three people were cited for battery. The Daily Californian covered the event, but apparently got a few of its facts wrong. This prompted a profuse and horrified apology from Bryan Thomas, the Daily Cal‘s editor in chief. All we can say is: calm down, everyone. You wanna have a tribal blood feud, do it somewhere else.
