Need even more motivation to vote today? How about free food and live music? That always does it. Music for America is sponsoring a block-party of sorts at Oakland polling venue Programs for Exceptional Children (located at 2850 West St., between 28th and 29th) from 3 to 7 p.m. Local group the Gomorran Social Aid and Pleasure Club (a.k.a. the Gomorrans) rains ramshackle banjo, tuba, trombone, trumpet, clarinet, and drums upon voting ears from 3 to 5. Music for America has organized similar events across the country; we’re just wondering why Pontiac, MI, gets the Decemberists.
