The County Fire burning in Yolo and Napa counties has grown to 86,000 acres — nearly three times the size of San Francisco — and threatened more than 1,000 homes. Officials said the fire is 30 percent contained. (SFGate)

Berkeley has promised $11 million for an affordable housing project. The Berkeley Way project, which will be located at Berkeley Way and Henry Street, will have 89 affordable housing apartments, 53 permanent supportive apartments for homeless people, 12 beds for veterans, and 32 shelter beds, according to a staff report. White supremacist posters were found in downtown Saratoga on Tuesday. The posters plastered on the sides of newspaper bins  stated: “Keep America American” and implores the reader to report “illegal aliens” to ICE. (East Bay Times)

While the case against the two men accused of involuntary manslaughter in the Ghost Ship fire ended with criminal convictions on Tuesday, there’s still the issue of who can be held accountable for the deadly fire. The lawsuit filed by the families of the victims contends that PG&E, the warehouse landlord, the city of Oakland, and others also bear responsibility. (San Francisco Chronicle)
