Only three weeks left at Golden Gate Fields racetrack, but for senior citizen Roberto Gonzalez the dean of Bay Area jockeys, this weekend continued the front-runner’s run to the top of the rider standings. Dozens of top jocks have come and gone, but like the XMas trees sprouting along the Frontage Road en route to the racetrack, Gonzo is a perennial who nobody would notice unless he stopped showing up.
