.Rose’s Taproom Debuts This Weekend in Oakland’s Temescal

A welcome addition to the local brew scene is Rose’s Taproom, which will debut this weekend in Temescal.

Husband-wife duo Luke Janson and Hillary Rose Huffard announced that doors will finally open, complete with four taps flowing, this Saturday, July 1, at 6 p.m. — and the whole fam is invited to this all-ages event.

Rose’s website says that there will be a saison, pale ale, and kolsch on draft — but I’m eyeing that toasted coconut porter with a snap of lime.

Also worth checking out is Rose’s “Mug Club”: They’ve commissioned local artists to design ceramic taproom vessels, one of which can be yours for $30 a month. (This fee also includes $2 each pour, and a free new-release brew on Tuesdays.)

Find out more at RosesTaproom.com and follow along at @rosestaproom. And look for more on the brewery in a future column.

Rose’s Taproom’s grand opening is Saturday, July 1, 6pm, no cover, all-ages; 4930 Telegraph Ave, Oakland, RosesTaproom.com.
