The cake is light but flavorful and the icing is fudgy and thick. The strawberry layer cake, available only in the spring, boasts freshly sliced strawberries and whipped cream sandwiched between layers of yellow cake. The German chocolate cake, the only one (aside from custom orders) made from chocolate batter, is generously coated and filled with an addictive coconut-pecan frosting. Another delicious option is the coconut pineapple cake, a yellow cake filled with pineapple jam and frosted with coconut icing. The layer cakes run from $2.75 to $3.50 for a generous piece. Sheet cakes range from $25 to $90.
