Ka-ching! UC Berkeley just got itself an $11 million grant from the National Institute for Standards and Technology (Thank God someone still has standards), to build a fat new research center. According to the Daily Cal, university officials will match it with $8.8 million from the state to build a facility “to measure and experiment on a nanoscale with minimal interference from the outside environment.”
