The Bay Guardian won its court battle this week to begin collecting a $21 million judgment it won against the SF Weekly and its corporate parent, Village Voice Media. However, it’s unclear whether the Guardian will actually get any money out of the judge’s ruling. An attorney for the SF Weekly said the company was “not concerned” about the legal decision, although the paper fought against it, the Chron reports. In other words, the legal battle is a long way from being over.
