Alameda County Counts 120,000 Late Absentees

We’re close to having final results for last week’s election from the Alameda County Registrar of Voters. The county registrar posted a massive update on Sunday, after counting about 120,000 absentee ballots that were turned in or postmarked on Election Day. However, the update failed to change any of the races. Registrar spokesman Guy Ashley said his office still is counting about 30,000 provisional ballots from around the county. Those may be completed by the end of the week or sometime next week.
