The Alameda County Registrar of Voters is closed today for Veterans’ Day so there will be no absentee ballots results until at least Monday. The county has about 60,000 absentees that have yet to be tallied. That means the outcome of close races will not be known until next week. So far, the count has gone slowly. The registrar’s office on Thursday tallied only about 1,000 of the 60,000 outstanding ballots before heading home for the three-day weekend.
