Howl. The Devil’s Highway. Friendly Fire. What do these titles have in common? They were all banned at one point. In honor of Banned Books Month, PEN American Center West collaborates with Mrs. Dalloway’s to present an evening of local writers, including Peter Orner, Camille Dungy, Carolyn Cook, Tess Taylor, and Michael David Lukas, to read selections from authors who’ve been either banned, censored, or imprisoned for their art.
