The Bay Area may be known for hippies, yuppies, and foodies, but apparently it’s also home to an unusually large pool of charismatic and talented air-guitarists. We’ve produced more than a few winners in the US Air Guitar Championships, so you won’t want to miss this year’s regional finals on Saturday, June 5, at the Fillmore. Hosted by former world finalist Bjorn Turoque and presented by Live 105, the event will produce a winner that will go on to compete at the national finals in New York on July 22 (and, if he/she’s lucky, the world finals in Finland in August), as well as Live 105’s BFD on Sunday, June 6, at Shoreline Amphitheater. 9 p.m., $20.
