In a move befitting his mayoral tenure, Ron Dellums abruptly canceled his final state of the city speech scheduled for Wednesday at Oakland City Hall and instead will post an online video of himself delivering the speech, the Trib reports. Dellums’ planned final public speech as mayor had not garnered much attention — probably because his office had not officially announced it. City council President Jane Brunner said she didn’t know about the speech — or the cancellation.
