Soiled Doves? Well, yes, a term used to refer to “women of the night” in San Francisco’s Barbary Coast red-light district. What exactly do soiled doves and Alameda possibly have in common? The avant-cabaret show has landed on the island to bring a unique and visually enticing form of nightlife entertainment. The Soiled Dove presented by the Vau de Vire Society, is a circus-theater experience based inside a massive 12,000 square feet tent brought from Tortona, Italy. The tent probably has a magical story of its own, and inside, a whole other type of magic happens. The thematic of this sensual show, a depiction of what saloons were like back in the Barbaric Coast, complete with a four-course dinner, aerial acts, burlesque dancers, decadent drinks, and live music by Jazz Mafia / Realistic Orchestra, B-3 organist Mighty Dave, with surprise musical-guest cameos each evening. This show is definitely date night worthy, unusual, extravagant and sexy.
