Every day of the year, it’s good to be Pixar. But today, it totally sucks to be Pixar! Not only is a federal shareholder lawsuit focusing on a nasty options backdating scandal (Steve Jobs strikes again!), Disney gadfly/insider reporter-type person Jim Hill reports that Disney officials are worried that Ratatouille, the new Pixar movie, will be a big flop. “Given that the folks at Disney PR no longer really buy into the old ‘Everybody goes to Pixar movies’ idea … Well, they’re now trying to decide who exactly they should be marketing this Brad Bird movie to,” Hill writes. “Marketing movies that star a rat can be a rather tricky affair.” Sucks to be you, Pixar!
