We pretty much bow down and worship anything that SGM tries, especially when it involves their lone female member Carla Kihlstedt, a hot violin prodigy with an ear for the weird. Anyway, cue up Traineater from Anti-Records’ Book of Knots and you basically got the dream soundtrack for The Hills Have Eyes II. “Rural doom” is too little a phrase for the big creepiness driving through this March 20 release; all violin picky, whispers, and drones. Oh, yeah, some guy named Tom Waits is on the album too. We are SO not worthy.
