Outdoor Dining

An Incomplete Guide

Few regions anywhere are blessed with a climate more conducive to outdoor dining. Sure, the brisk fogs of summer can put a chill on things from time to time. But on those memorable summer days when the fog recedes by mid-morning and the heat isn’t too oppressive, there are few better ways to celebrate life in the East Bay than with an outdoor meal or drink.

The following list of East Bay outdoor dining venues is most decidedly NOT comprehensive. We’ve done our best to include all the dining and drinking facilities we could think of, but we know it’s inevitable that we’ve left out a bunch of restaurants. Please help us improve next year’s directory by sending updates to [email protected] or via postal mail to Outdoor Dining, East Bay Express, 1335 Stanford Ave., Emeryville, CA 94608.
