The truth about cats and dogs is that they are not human. And no one gets it better than this renegade vet. If you’re lucky enough to become a client, you’ll want to play this card close to your chest. Brent, as he likes to be called, doesn’t advertise, rarely solicits new biz, and holds dearly his ability to Google himself and turn up empty-handed. What gives? A refreshingly humanistic approach to animals in need is what it’s all about for this Oakland-born, -bred, and -educated dude with the cut-offs, T-shirts, and salt ‘n’ pepper crewcut. Sure, Brent will stitch up your beloved pets’ wounds, give their annual shots, and diagnose some serious illnesses in the comfort of your home. That’s right. He’s mobile, and he makes house calls. But when it comes to prolonging an animal’s death or going for broke with costly diagnostic and palliative measures, this vet doesn’t deal. He prefers to refer out. If you elect to release Fido or Socksie into heaven wrapped in their favorite blankie in your arms or even in your bed, Brent is your man. Grown men weep and women keen, but Brent will deliver your pet into peace with grace and dignity. This very single Dr. Dolittle does a lot … and then some.

Is Brent still doing euthanasia? I have been using him for years.
