A team of researchers at Australia’s CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) has unveiled a “wearable instrument shirt” that allows users to play air guitar for real. “Our air guitar consists of a wearable sensor interface embedded in a conventional ‘shirt,’ which uses custom software to map gestures with audio samples,” said lead engineer Dr. Richard Helmer in CSIRO’s press release.
