.Hijack the Studio

Oakland indie-rock group Hijack the Disco has worked more than fifteen months on its debut full-length, and The Pen and the Letter is still not ready for release. Recorded with Grammy-winning producer Enrique Gonzalez Mueller (Les Claypool, MC Hammer, Dave Matthews Band) at Sausalito’s legendary studio the Plant, the album bears high expectations. Do the songs hold up? Find out when Hijack (which sounds nothing like disco) opens for Albuquerque rockers Soular at Café du Nordin SF Tuesday. Support comes from Concord quartet the Federalists. Doors at 8:30 p.m.; tickets $7. – Nate Seltenrich
