Dark Creature Halloween Party
Berkeley’s tiny but mighty freeform art space Somewhere Else is known for its eclectic bi-monthly installations that highlight artists of color and mostly book female artists. The October exhibit, titled Dark Creature, is no exception. Being that it is the scariest month of the year, and with many folks celebrating Halloween, the exhibit showcases a lineup of all-female artists whose artwork reflects the haunting and macabre creatures of the unknown. The closing reception, on Halloween night, will be your last chance to visit the exhibit. The night promises a night of terror with sounds by La Kiwi Baby and Hellabreezy, who is also one of the brains behind the space. Make sure to wear your best costume, and let your inner ghoul roam the walls of this spooky exhibit. — Azucena Rasilla
