Gay Marriage Squabble

Plaintiffs in a federal lawsuit that seeks to overturn Proposition 8 and legalize same-sex marriage have asked a judge to ban other gay rights groups from entering the case. According to the Chron, the plaintiffs, which include a lesbian couple from Berkeley, along with a Southern California political strategist and several Hollywood figures – all represented by famed lawyers Ted Olson and David Boies – are worried that other gay rights groups may sabotage their case because they don’t think the federal courts are ready to legalize same-sex nuptials. Attorneys for the other gay rights groups have not yet responded.
