When the dark sitcom Wilfred launched on cable channel FX this summer — replete with a foul-mouthed talking dog, and copious bong hits out of a little honey bear bottle — a lot of people wondered just where its star, Lord of the Rings hero Elijah Wood, stood on the issue of weed, a schedule one drug.
